1DD: How to make an idea come true
BARTHOLOMEUS: “Playing around with dreams + ideas make opportunities available, in play you can become a hero.”
"As a designer I learned about the value of play, in play people learn faster and better, and are open for elicit emotions, the transfer of experiences, insights and learnings inside the game can be taken outside the magic circle of play :) the state of play) to real life. As a designer I hope to facilitate and enable the state of play, but the player is always in control to make the game happen, so for me designing play and games is the ultimate way of co-creating, allowing the user the autonomy to play around with the game of life."

In 1996 I graduated as a product designer at the Design Academy on ‘Men and Information’. Since then I have created signage, user-interfaces, graphic design, websites, interactive applications and serious games. I am eager to get more in-depth involved with the use of play and how to apply game elements as a medium and tool and not just for fun. How to design motivation, and how to co-create the state of play as an intervention for change. I wish to make people play life more.
