1DD: how to positively impact with design
GUAZZINI: “Design spells discovery and innovation.Innovation means looking forward.”
"Sometimes in order to look forward we need to retrieve something from the past; our past.
I believe that a positive impact of design nowadays is in fact its social function, which adds up to giving the chance to the people to find their own identity linked to their own cultural roots, including the revisitation of various forms of handicrafts and artisanship that in many parts of the world are disappearing.
In a globalized society that tends to homologate, it is essential for an individual to be aware of his own identity in order to be ready, confident and forward to share himself and his truth with anyone, in any situation. The sharing of a personal experience is a way for one to master his individuality, which is indeed a true enrichment for our global reality."
