1DD: how to positively impact with design
MCKINLEY: “When you look beyond the task to how a company thinks about products, users and itself, true impact can be to design a new mindset.”
"Design is solving a problem. Done well, you could say that any solution has impact. Having a positive impact is often in how you frame the problem itself – and the ability of your team to look beyond simple ROI equations into the broad ecosystem of impacts – empathizing the the end user AND the people delivering the service. I find the deepest changes are made when you can look beyond the just the ask you are given into how a company THINKS about its products, its customers and itself. For me the greatest positive impact can be designing ways to shift the mindset of a company."
