1DD: how to positively impact with design
ZABALETA: “The key to have positive impact through design is empathy: connecting with people’s real unmet needs.”
"Empathy, or the ability to understand and share someone else’s feelings, is a distinctly human ability that enables us to uncover people’s unmet needs, motivations, frustrations and expectations. This initial understanding sets the ground for designing relevant solutions that create positive impact in society. Because, as Victor Papanek once said, 'the only important thing about design is how it relates to people.'"
